People leaving Illinois as if it's a sinking ship. For third straight year this state has lost more residents then any other state according to the Chicago Tribune. Over 36,000 in 2016.

Those are only taxpayers leaving. ILL was declared a sanctuary state. The illegals are more than offsetting those numbers. Slum rent is going up in all towns in ILL. Supply in demand.

Liberal CBS said 50 % of the household in California are planning to move out of state or contemplating moving out of state. My daughter in Idaho has bought and sold 4 homes in the last 18 months to California people moving to Idaho. Home prices in Boise are sky rocketing to California buyers.

My nephew married a girl from Illinois. She is living in basically the same house in Indiana as the rest of her family is in Illinois - Typical 1700 sq. ft., 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 car garage house. Her brothers and sisters think she is lying about how much she pays in property tax because the property tax on theirs homes is 5 to 6 times what she is paying. Same weather, same pay so why stay in Illinois and have it broken off in your a__?

Just read today 45,000 plus Illinois residents moved out of the state in 2017. OH well, now that they can tax ammo as much as they want in Illinois, how soon will the state start taxing shells at the Grand an additional $5.00 a box or more? Have to support the losers in Chicago some how.

If you think they are leaving fast now, just wait till J B Pritzker gets his juggernaut rolling. More gun laws will be coming for sure but those don't affect everyone. He wants to double the state fuel tax & raise the property tax, that will affect everyone!
I am looking to move just have to figure which grandkid we move closer to - lol.

I live in Indiana - 50, 60 miles from the IL border so we get some IL news here. Their new governor got inaugurated a few days ago. Basically he said he is going to stick it to the rich (tax reform), stricter gun laws, more money for teachers - (higher property tax), and $15 min wage. You think people are leaving now.

Plus a 15% pay raise for the upper echelons of government employees. Supposedly, the working class have been getting raises but not management so now they get 15% (because Illinois has plenty of money-right!) I think the raises already went into effect. He also plans to double the state fuel tax also. Welcome to Californinois.

When do any of you think he will shut off the money for the Sparta failure? Or place a state tax on the shooters that go there.
    Post your guesses. Roger C.

There was some talk about an ammunition tax some time ago, if he gets a whiff of that hold onto your hats … They have already exceeded the Cap on almost anything and everything that can be taxed already … The States web site says, Madigan, and all of the elected officials seem to be getting on board with the new Governor so now its wait for the hammer to fall … I have a lot of family and many friends back there, this is not going to be good for many people beyond those who attend the shoots in Sparta, Ill … The new Governor stated he will get a balanced budget any and every way he can, which is something the State has not had in over a decade and beyond … The gun and ammo Retailers (did not mention wholesalers so that remains to be seen) have to buy a license that starts out at $1,500 per year plus the sales taxes involved … Not Good kids … WPT … (YAC) …
