Governor made history in Illinois, Printed in Huffington Post, This happened last Wednesday. Budget for 2017 offered Universities a one year appropriation for 2017, that's one year with Universities no Money for 2016. The Governors 2017 Budget is based on 2015 budget w/costs cuts.

The 2016 budget would be an *asterisk.

Smoking age would be increased to 21 yrs old.

    Major changes in Workers Compensation.

The proposed budget by Gov.Rauner does not include any (zero) funding for the WSRC , if there is going to be a grand at the facility it will be on the ATA or Co Sponsors dime (bunch of dimes) which sadly would be a loser any way you look at it ... The Governor also proposes cutting the staff at the facility to one person, not sure if that is in FY 2017 or immediately ... This is not good and it don't look like its going to get any better anytime soon ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

The proposed funding for the IDNR starts on page 288 thru 295.

You'll see that the Governor has proposed ZERO dollars for the WSRC (pg. 288)

You'll see Zero dollars proposed for the WSRC again on page 292.

And if I'm reading it correctly, on page 295 the Governor appears to be saying that he's cutting the staff to just one person.

    Enjoy

I agree the WRSC situation ain't too bright, but I don't read the proposed budget the way you do??? I see $2,000,000 of funding in the 2017 governor's proposal allocated to DNR for the WRSC, not zero?
