While fussing and fuming about ATA etc you better take time to examine House Bill 5087......... Take a quick look at what the House of Representative, Democrats are about to try to shove down your throat while saying "VOTE FOR US".......... 126 pages of what you CAN and CANNOT own....... Larry

Brings up a good point Roger..... Does the ATA have a legislative action group? If not perhaps they need one. The most terrible portion of this bill is the portion that tells you what you can have.... If its not listed as exempt you cannot own it even if its not included in the "banned" list........ I think that would make my Diamond Grade an illegal gun?? Might have missed it in that wonderful document but I don't think so. I have a couple more items that are not on the exemption list..... I guess they would be "bad guns" also????? Larry

 

Larry, I'm no fan of this bill, that's for sure, but to be accurate the bill does not ban everything "not listed as exempt" at all. It reads like it was thrown together in a hurry, lots of redundancy, especially in the exemptions. It defines what is illegal (basically semi-auto with any of the so-called "evil" features they list). It bans anything meeting that definition. It also includes a list of specific banned guns, I assume each of which would meet the "evil" definition anyway.

Anything that isn't a semi-auto isn't banned since it could not fall under the definition of a "semiautomatic assault weapon" no matter what. It also provides several exemptions besides Appendix A.That listing of exempt guns in Appendix A is really redundant in large part since it lists guns that are not banned anyway. It shows lever actions that are automatically exempt since they are not semi-autos, plus they are also listed as exempt under another section, that's the redundancy I'm talking about.. The only place that list really helps is for semi-autos where there might be a question.

Pages and pages of BS put together by liberals that do not know a thing about life, liberty, pursuit of happiness or the second amendment......
