Looking through some of my old photos/collection from Harold`s Reno. Long before my introduction to the Traps... Some champion shooters from 1960`s... No name on the photo of the lady shooter...

    Great pics.
Never shot live birds there, but did shoot the The Golden West Grand in the 70's.
    Keep posting more pics please.

Harold Smith Jr. and Dan Orlich. Both were very accomplished Flyer shots...

    Wow Great Pictures !
In todays races there are some stiff competition shooters , mostly young guns but a few old gun-slingers who can still shoot !
It's such a joy to hear stories from the past and see who the top Dogs are today . Just being around when they come to town
and watch their competitive demeanor is priceless !

Just had a long conversation with an old timer still shooting flyers. Says it's hard to compete but the big money betting after he is out makes up for it.

With todays races it's easy to see drawing a crowd from out of state shooters is no problem , those from Texas , Kansas , Oregon ,Utah , Michigan ,
Arizona as well as from all over the home state are fun to see again ! They come to play , seriously that is , but the comradery is the best part !
When it's Your Day , it can be rewarding both with high scores and Calcutta winnings ! As they say , come prepared !

I got a question, what year did they start using Barnabee style boxes? Was it wood boxes prior?
