I really feel that I need to get my gun fitted to me properly. I switched from an A400 (which I never should of gotten rid of) to a CZ All American. My scores have suffered. I don’t know if it’s a mind thing or not. I was wondering who everyone recommends? What is involved? And how much roughly it costs? For peace of mind, I wanted to get it fitted right. Thanks!
Brad, I started the same way, sort of, dabbling for a couple of years with a Browning 525 sporting then a Browning Comp Combo Golden Clays, That gun, although a good shooter, literally fell apart, never mind the 1/4" trigger creep. I went to the Cardinal Center for the 07 Cardinal Classic with the thought of bringing a Sliver Seitz along home, after having sent Ritchie, plus the guys from Caesar Gurini, Perrazzi, Kreighoff, Kolar & a couple of others, my measurements and asked if they could have a gun for me to shoot. Meanwhile I took Nora Ross' outstanding clinics, twice. It was the Kolar MAX TA Combo that won my heart & I made a deal with Doug Wolk at SGC to have a factory fitting that September at Racine. My first Registered target was shot in 2007 and now at age 80 I've been on the PA State Team for 11yrs straight, putting hundreds of thousands of targets through that gun with never a single failure, except when the little hook thingey on the forearm, broke. (it was repaired + it's first annual, and back home in a week) I'm not telling you to get a Kolar, but there are many fine competition guns out there and also more than a few folks who know how to fit them...
I shot a kolar a couple of years ago on a demo and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately I not at a position financially to get a new one. When I do, it will be a Kolar.
