The problem is the comb is locked in its highest position - 3/8". If you like a high shooting gun, this is the stock for you. Forend is included. $90 plus shipping
Is there something wrong with last buyer or you wanted to change price? Just didn’t want my name to be negatively associated with “looking for a new buyer”.
The original buyer wouldn't send me a PM, wouldn't give me an e-mail address, and then gave me an incorrect phone number that I called. I wasted enough time. No, I was never able to fix the comb. I had to buy another stock. Wayne J. I'll take your offer.
It sounds like the buyer COULDN'T send you a PM, perhaps you do not have PM privileges on this site? One would think giving a buyer less than 2 hours to iron things out after an unqualified "I'll take it" post is a little harsh. I googled the phone number and it's the same one Eric has used multiple times, so it is likely fine. That, plus the increase in price, makes this whole thing look really bad for the seller.
Yes, the phone number worked and the guy I talked to didn't know who I was and what I was talking about . I made every effort and he hasn't gotten back here to explain. I tried.
Did not receive the PM. For everyone's information, Wayne's offer is same as the original price. 90 plus shipping is the same as $120 shipped since shipping is over $30.
Wayne J figured it out and he didn't have to send me a PM. Stock is sold. Eric, sorry. I tried and I still don't understand what happened with the phone call.
You're WAY overpaying for shipping. Worst case, you can put it in a USPS Priority Mail medium flat rate box (box is free). Rack rate (pay at the counter, highest cost) with $90 insurance would be $17.90 anywhere in the United States. That would be your max shipping cost. It would be slightly less if you shipped through paypal or pirateship and got the discounted rate, and could be cheaper still if you provide your own box depending on weight and distance. If you're paying/charging over $30 for shipping, someone is getting boned.
You may be right. I computed the cost on the USPS cost estimator with the weight, dimensions of the box, zip codes, and days and hours sent, and it came out to over $ 32. Thanks for the heads up, I'll look for a cheaper price.
You can even have USPS drop off the flat rate boxes free of charge as well, just have to order them through the website. You can get someone sizes at the Post Office, but they have much more variety on the website and no sense in making two trips.
Thing is, I have the boxes from the Boyd stock and forend I bought a few months ago. (this is what my new stock looks like)
