FYI, I googled Hard Hat knives and on one of the sites that popped up I found this. "Hard Hat was a knife club native to the Owensboro Ky / Evansville Indiana area. Case, Bear, Coon, Schrade and others made the club knives." Some of the posters said that the knives they had, albeit most were folders, with the Hard Hat stamp were the same as their folders made by one of the big makers. It would be tough to find the blade makeup unless you knew the original manufacturer.
