Hi. I will give two Wall Charts away this Christmas to Junior Coaches. If you coach kids send me a short e-mail about the teams you coach, location etc. I will draw for two later this week about Friday night or early on Saturday. Please take the time to remind junior coaches at your club about this free draw. Thanks and Merry Christmas to all. Terry Jordan. jordan4842@rogers.com or to jordan4842@yahoo.ca
Terry, I want to thank you for all you've done over the years to help shooters, especially the young ones. Your Wall Chart giveaway is a wonderful idea and I would encourage all Junior Coaches to send an email about your team(s) in hopes of getting a chart. As a past Chart user, I can honestly state that the Jordan Wall Chart not only worked for me by eliminating bad habits, but was a major factor in helping me achieve the averages necessary to earn the AA-27-AA award. Mr. Jordan, should our paths ever cross again, I'd be happy to join you in a nice glass of Crown Royal and talk of the old times again. Perhaps I should plan a trip to the Hamilton or St. Thomas Gun Club again. HistoryBuff
Terry, Thanks for everything you do for all the kids. This is a great way to help the coaches teach the kids, and not have them start out with bad habits. Your chart sure did help me when I was shooting on a regular basis. Now when I get the chance to go and shoot, I just spend a few days working the chart before I go and WA~LA...Good scores like I never took time off. Merry Christmas to you, Nancy, and Your family. Below I have a mini chart in my den. Dave & Judy
To Mike Wicks Michael Dorland Today at 3:28 PM Hi Mike and Michael. Congratulations guys you are the two winners. I will ship these two Wall Charts out next week. If you have lots of room I will send you the largest 10 foot wide chart. The 8 footers is a great choice if you have a smaller room. We only had ten entries my wife drew your two names. Merry Christmas. Terry Jordan. These were the winning two entries. From: Wicks, Mike Dec 22 at 6:38 PM Terry, I help assistant coach between 30-35 kids for the Manitowoc Gun Club’s Birdbusters youth team. We are affiliated with the SCTP program. Manitowoc is a smaller Wisconsin community with close to 34,000 residents. Not to dwell on the negative but are not a wealthy community and it was announced a short time ago that one of our main manufacturers the Manitowoc Company is relocating and closing its doors amounting to about 550 lost jobs. A recently spun-off subsidiary lost about 150 jobs moving production to Mexico. These were relatively high paying jobs for this community. The kids in the program shoot mostly 870 pump guns and we have acquired some SKB semi-autos through the SCTP programs and MidwayUSA raffle/fundraising programs. Might see an occasional browning O/U or an 1100 but that’s usually Dad’s gun. I have purchased some of Leo’s videos out om own pocket for the kids to take home and study. There isn’t a lot of extra cash for most of these kids to shoot a lot of rounds and we subsidize their shooting with cheap ammo prices but most of these kids (parents) can still only afford so much live practice. Considering this area’s economic climate a wall chart would be a great addition to our minimal tool chest. These kids could still hone their skills without breaking the bank and hopefully improve their shooting skills. We start the program up again in late February and considering the climate here February, March, April and even early May aren’t the greatest months for outdoor shooting around here. We’re very close to Lake Michigan and those early spring winds off the lake make it nasty until the water warms up a little. The chart would be a great indoor practice aid. I haven’t used one myself but I hear a lot of great comments regarding your wall charts. Obviously they seem to work for you. Thanks for the opportunity. Mike. From: Michael Dorland Dec 21 at 12:53 PM Mr. Jordan, I saw your post on xxxxxxxxxxxxxx. Here is our entry. My name is Michael Dorland and I am a coach/treasurer for the Loess Hills Youth Shooting Sports team in Harrison county Iowa. We started the club in 2012 to provide an alternative sport for many of the kids in the county who do not have an opportunity to compete otherwise. We serve the entire county and have representation from all five school districts in the area. There are eight coaches serving an average of 40 youth aged 12 to 18. We are also an SCTP club and run from March through the Iowa SCTP Championships in June. MidwayUSA foundation grants, support from the local Pheasants Forever chapter and other grants/fundraising help us keep the cost to a level that the parents can afford. The kids have a great time and enjoy being part of a team in a sport that they can continue into their adult lives.
