Am I the only person that wonders why some gun manufacturers don't feel they have to publish a list of shooters that shoot their guns? Do that many of us buy guns because someone is listed on a site as being on gun team so and so?
Some manufacturers are perfectly content to let their reputation speak for itself. Others feel show placing the shooters and the guns in the same ad will sell guns for them. I think the kind of ads described are directed at newer shooters. Buy our gun and your ability will rise to the level of our shooters. The illusion is created products are the difference. Some take the hook.
I am a firm believer that it's not all the arrow, but most of good scores are by the Indian's ability. Of course the Arrow needs to be tailored to the Indian, then you will have a great combination. whether it's hand carved or mass produced. How about those who shot with a Marlin (Mark Arie) Pump gun, or the guy shooting with his Dad's old Remington Model 10 ? They made the guns shoot where they were looking, they knew what to do with the equipment they had, not having to buy their way to the top. Just realistic
Leo shot an 1100 right? Gotta get one of those. And Zaplatta shot an 870 and an 1100. I need one of those two guns.
Rudy Etchin (sp?) shot an 870, used it for all the events and did quite well with it ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
