I would think there are more than a few ex registered trap shooters visiting this site that would like lessons in how to shoot better Sporting scores.

 

I frequent the site and I shoot SC pretty much exclusively now.

 

Same here. I no longer shoot ATA. I do shoot unregistered trap in a local league but nothing serious. I’ve switched to sporting clays for competition, and Vintagers SxS shoots for fun. Both are a lot of fun and without the endless teenage girl drama of registered trap. If you haven’t been to a weekend SxS shoot, I highly recommend it. Zero drama. Lots of shooting combined with fun social events. Great times. The Vintage Cup will take place at Hausmann’s Hidden Hollow, Sept 19-21. All are welcome. No need to even be a member.

 

I don't shoot much anymore but I really like Sporting Clays. You may remember I have the History of Sporting Clays article in the HistoryBuff section that takes the game back to the 1880s in the U.S.A.

Known as a trapshooter, I chaired a committee to build a Sporting Clays course at our gun club back in 1990.

Trapshooters from the earliest days wanted difficult targets rather than the monotonous Trap.

The gentleman's post is fine with me.
