Because of the thicker top tube, these were made specific L or R handed. The way I have seen south paws use them is by replacing the comb with the UFC. You give up a little offset from the stock but have the adjustment of the UFC to make up for it. I guess it really boils down to the amount of cast you need. Thanks for asking and good shooting, Rey
