Shot some Estate shells that were new to me. They had printed on the box that they
    were made in England.
Beautiful shells with perfect crimp. Wanted to know if anybody else had seen and
    tried them?

Vista Outdoors Inc. They own many brands including Federal, Bushnell, and a host of others.

No they don't. Kent-Gamebore Corporation is the owner.

Hi Ken, I,m puzzled as to who made them....There are only 3 manufacturers left in the UK. Kent-Gamebore, Hull Cartridge, and Lyalvale....I am pretty sure Hull do not export much to the USA, so I tend to think it must be Lyalvale. Do you have a picture of the box? Dave

Lyalvale is the number 1 manufacturer of shotgun shell in the UK. I have not been able to find anything indicating different on making the Estates.

Call Federal and ask them. Are they not the original Mfgr. of Estates? Roger C.

    Response back from Federal
    Ken

It is made in France by a contract manufacture.

    Thanks
    federal

If they are made in France then the contractor should be Cheditte.
