First let me say that I'm not Merlo but I do have a friend that told me two weeks ago that information would be published a little at a time.

    The latest?

From Fox news 11:00 AM Tuesday 3/10/20

"Harvard joins universities across the US that are canceling in-person classes due to coronavirus"

He told me about that 2 days ago.

My Grandson attends Kent State. If it already isn't on the web for public consumption he will be home shortly. The word is face to face classes will be suspended until at least April 12th.

I'm guessing more Universities will suspend classes since none of them want to be seen as not caring about the students.

FOR ALL YOU LURKERS that have laughed at this virus and made jokes about stocking up on booze and toilet paper because you think you are smarter than the average Joe?

Go tell that to the relatives of someone that has died from it.

    YOU BOOGER EATING MORONS!!!!!!.

Maybe if you drive real fast on a green tractor the virus won't catch you.

John Carroll University just made the Big Board. Classes suspended until 4/13/20

"The cancellations have been focused in states and areas hardest hit by the virus, including the Seattle area, California and New York.
The Ohio State University, which has an enrollment of more than 66,000 students, is the latest to announce it's closing its classrooms."

My oldest granddaughter is a flight Attendant for United. She fly's international most of the time including Asia. United has almost canceled all of those (Asia) flights. They have asked every crew member if they desire to take a 6 month leave of absence now's the time to do it, with benefits but no pay. Their trying to reduce their flight crews down 15% without layoffs. Lot's of the older ladies are taking the deal so, my granddaughter is still flying. As a mater of fact to London last night. She said United expects it to get worse.

No great loss as far as I'm concerned but the
NBA just suspended all play after a player tests positive

Not a great loss unless you work at those facilities. Think of the total hours lost at each event that is not going to happen, let alone the income to the facility and vendors products.

This is no joke. It has ramifications that are far reaching.

That's why I started this thread. You can't even say a joke is the last thing it is because there is NOTHING funny about it.
When I said no great loss to me I meant just that. I don't and never have watched pro BB so it was no loss to me.

I wanted to show the LURKERS that think it IS a joke just how stupid they were.

Hell, some of these morons think Dow Jones is an old country western singer. News flash for you.

"Italy, already on lockdown, clamped down even further, and on Thursday morning virtually the only public places still open to its
60 million citizens were supermarkets and medical facilities."

President Trump: Restricting travel in U.S. a 'possibility' if coronavirus pandemic gets 'too hot'

For the "this is nothing to worry about, it's all a hoax" camp.

"The federal government’s top infectious disease expert told lawmakers Wednesday that the novel coronavirus spreading across the globe is 10 times more lethal than the seasonal flu.

“I mean people always say, 'Well, the flu does this, the flu does that,'” Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), said Wednesday during a hearing before the House Oversight and Reform Committee.

The flu has a mortality rate of 0.1 percent. This has a mortality rate of 10 times that. That’s the reason I want to emphasize we have to stay ahead of the game in preventing this,” he added."

What is amazing to me is how many people stick their heads in the sand and have the balls to make jokes about it or, act as if they know better than the medical professionals.

This is one of my favorites that I found surfing around the net.

"In 5 months I bet this will all be long forgotten. Maybe more like 5 weeks."

Maybe if he gets all gussered up the virus won't affect him, OR HIS FAMILY. If he even has one.

    What a twit!

6:32 PM: Surge in coronavirus patients threatens to swamp U.S. hospitals

Hospitals across the United States are erecting triage tents outside emergency rooms, squeezing extra beds into break rooms and physical therapy gyms, and recommending delays in elective surgery to free up capacity as they brace for an anticipated surge in coronavirus patients.

Depending on who you talk to some people think this Corona virus is Media Hype even though a lot of people are reacting as if it is a "Death Sentence" ... My 'new' neighbor is a Doctor who was employed by Mayo Clinic, says people should take precautions and wash their hands and wipe their ass to prevent many types of diseases and virus's just as a normal daily routine ... He seems to think this is a new flu virus because the symptoms are very much the same based on what he has seen and his limited knowledge of same ... Based on what you see with all of the precautions and the news it does sound like it can be a "death sentence", time will tell and then we will all know ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

From a doctor that used to work at the Mayo Clinic.
"He seems to think this is a new flu virus because the symptoms are very much the same based on what he has seen and his limited knowledge of same"

IMO, (I know, everyone has one) the three words in bold type above mean a lot.

Everyone should do whatever they want. It's their health but I would put a little more faith in the quote I posted in an earlier thread.

From the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and INFECTIOUS Diseases

“I mean people always say, 'Well, the flu does this, the flu does that,'” Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), said Wednesday during a hearing before the House Oversight and Reform Committee.

The flu has a mortality rate of 0.1 percent. This has a mortality rate of 10 times that. That’s the reason I want to emphasize we have to stay ahead of the game in preventing this,” he added."

You want a really good tip? Buy stock in the companies that will manufacture the vaccine for COVID-19

Don't shoot the messenger, just passing along part of a conversation we had about this virus, the media etc ... He obviously does not have much use for the Media either based on the discussion we had ...

Have they even come up with the Vaccine (for sure ) yet ..? I had some stock from a couple of the big name makers of Medications, sat idle for awhile so I dumped it ... Probably was a bad move (again) ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

Not taking any pot shots at you WPT. Everyone knows someone that knows something.

Everything the Federal agency employee told me has come true. If I would have posted some of the things he told me weeks ago I would have been called a nut.

Arcturus Therapeutics, in San Diego I believe, has come up with a vaccine and is in the process of trying to get it manufactured. And you are correct about holding onto a stock then letting it go just to see it explode. Had one or two of them myself over the years.

United and Delta are cancelling 50% of all flights. 70+% of all people in Germany are expected to get the virus. MGM in Vegas is closing all hotels, they own 50% of all hotels in Vegas. No visitors in Hospitals where I live at all, school closings across the nation. Based on what I've seen it appears we're all going to get the virus and some will die. Just like the regular flu. It will just be more at a concurrent time overwhelming the medical establishment, it appears. I guess each of us will find out in the end. Good luck.

That's the main reason they want people to stay home. The hospitals are going to be pounded as it is without more cases.

Keep an eye out for a 3:00-3:30 announcement from the WH

Arrived around 9:30 am today at the Hard Rock Casino/Hotel in Fort Lauderdale. It is owned by the Seminole tribe.
We'll se if the white man can tell them what to do.

My problem is if air travel is stopped. This place will stay open but getting home is going to be an adventure. Supposed to go home Sunday but already bought tickets for Thursday morning as a back up.

Say for instance the WH gives people 48 or 72 hours to get where you want to be for 2 weeks.
Hopefully if they pull the plug it won't kick in until next Monday.

Hate to leave, already up around 2K
