CARDINAL CENTER PICTURES - FISH POND - SKEET- RANGES - CLAYS

Luke sent me these pictures of some of the work going on at the Cardinal Center getting ready for the kids SCTP Nationals. The fish pond at the campground needed cleaned out badly. It was way to shallow for Ohio winters. Luke said it is probably over 10 feet deep now. The dirt that is being removed is going into the pistol range berms.

I think the other picture is of the Pistol berm or skeet range. I'm not sure which. I'll post more pictures as I get them. Luke is probably a little busy right now.

 

Awesome indeed! Nice to read positive information instead of doom & gloom. I don't recall the name of the guy at the Cardinal Classic who was in charge of where the vendors set up, but he did tell me back then that there were new trap fields going to be added. Can't wait to see these kids shoot their stuff.

 

Absolutely beautiful. That fish pond will be a wonderful attraction for the kids. Luke is the man!

 

My women enjoys the fish pond as much as any kid. Funny when she is happy, the happier I am!

Sure brings back memories of standing in line on that deck with History Buff and Doc Parsons, waiting to get some BBQ. We were all commenting on the bass in that pond we could see...Now this pond will be ready for all once again.

I love all that heavy equipment with "Fishburn" on the side. He sure has it all.

 

Might have to go to the pond and make a mental picture of the deep spots and any structure before it's filled.

I was there yesterday, the pond looks to be at least 15 foot deep plus a little bigger around. I followed a load of dirt to the pistol range (that is what the one picture shows) it is to the west of the existing trap range across the county rd, Almost to the other camp grounds. I believe the skeet fields will be located between the pistol range and the county rd. One thing to note there is an existing house and out buildings located just off the the road, not sure how that is going to work out but I know Jack has a plan.
