Can Individual Clubs hold a MAJOR SHOOT

Without the targets being registered, Like handicap being determined by 16 yard score, and money derived by SELLING A CALCUTTA
60/40 shooter buyer payout.

This would reduce costs tremendously, Only past Calcutta Shooters would understand how this works.

Only mandatory option would be a $5.00 Ford Purse, Lewis Class pay outs would be 50/30/20, # of classes determined by Entries.

Our Man At Las Vegas Gun Club, Could get some Casino's involved, he has done a lot of Calcutta's, Shells limited to 1 1/8th oz shot size unlimited/Copper/Nickle allowed. Steve Carmichael is the contact man.

This could develop into big payouts and possible New Automobiles being won.

It would be an Invitational Shoot.

Why an invitational? Who are you trying to keep out?

 

Because of Savings of mailing out Programs, And printing Programs, ATA is against Calcutta's, but that is where Competetion Is at, and Big Money

There is nothing stopping any club from Hosting a non registered shoot if they can get people to show up for it ... The Internet is a great avenue for advertiseing promotion such a shoot by posting it on the clubs web site ... Standard Calcutta rules would have to apply and be understood by all who get involved ... There is a lot of preparation and time involved in getting such a shoot set up, but yes it can be done ... The number of attendees would no doubt increase over time if the shoots are done right and there is a lot of money to be won ... We always shot them on a 70/30 basis (70 to the buyer/ 30 to the shooter) but that also can be modified, as can any and all of the rules as long as its done prior to the shoot ... Pick your Partner Protections Calcutta's will usually draw good crowds if done using the Calcutta format and rules ,will increase the amount of money because there would be more shooters involved ... The ATA does not condone Calcutta's and do not get involved with them so it would have to be on an individual basis of the clubs that would host them ... West Chicago used to have some great Calcutta's and always had great turn outs because people knew about them and looked forward to them ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

Steve would be the man if the folks at Clark County would condone such a shoot, there is no doubt he could pull it off ... Las Vegas being the adventure/ entertainment Capitol of the world with nothing lacking to do would attract a large number of shooters if they were going to be in Vegas when it was going to happen ... If that was the case it could happen at Cardinal Center but getting people to travel that far for a Calcutta might be a problem for either one of the venues ... Do Not mention telephonic, I'll slap you ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

This would not be the time of year (Holiday Season) to expect many if any at all people to travel very far to any shoot, any place .... Think about it ... Merry Christmas ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
