US Open was up 14%+ in Championship Events

Buckeye was down in attendance with the exception of the first 2 days. No surprise with the price of ammo, components and fuel. I just paid $250 per 5000 of Cheddite primers at a local spot (Ohio) so maybe things are starting to come down?

Greetings to our friend from the gun hating communist state of Illinois.

Please post the number of shooters that shot there over the weekend. I remember they once reported they had 5,000 shooters in the campground. And another 5,000 shooters staying in the local motels. That was funny. Lololol

Then there was the time this forum caught those dumb asses falsifying the number of entries at the grand. Wasn’t that embarrassing?

At least I had a choice this week.

The US Open had 698 Classified shooters. ( says ATA)

The Buckeye had 1088 classified shooters but I don’t think that included the 500 SCTP shooters.

The US Open had 295 shooters in their big handicap

The Buckeye had 411 shooters.

Less than 500 shooters from Illinois attended the US Open.

Buckeye had 813 shooters from Ohio.

I don’t know why Illinois doesn’t support trapshooting much.

They are expecting 10,000 entrants at the SCTP Nationals at the CC next month.

The SCTP National Championship isn’t in Illinois. Not for a lonnng time.

 

The CC had a nice shoot. The 846 shooters on Saturday was 300 more than the US open had Wayne, the facts if we can believe the ATA numbers but you can believe the CC's. I was told that the Satellite grands in Mich and NY were both off 30%. I don't pay any attention anymore but has any other shoot had 846 entrees in one event this year? It will be interesting how big Pa and Ohio are.

ON Sunday we only had about 40 drive in shooters for the handicap and doubles. The price of shells and gas is going to really hurt registered clubs this summer. Thank you Brandon.

The 1088 shooters DID include the SCTP kids because they were in the event too. One sub jr D shooter broke the first 100 on Saturday too.

I enjoyed seeing everyone and I'll see you in August because I'm going to be the Cardinal Classic TD as of now.

 

Did they pull the ---- about giving more AA points for the Open even though the number of
shooters don’t justify it. No wonder most AA chasers shoot there. JMO

Not a lot of support from OH, or PA.

 

The ATA said at the time of the move they didn’t need OH or PA. Remember the poll they sent to the shooters.

The fingers should point directly at the shooters of Illinois. They don’t seem to support the US Open or the mini grand. And why would OH or PA care?
