Do any of you ever hunt ducks with a muzzel loader? If so what do you use for shot and how much powder, type of wads and shot cups? I'd like to try my single shot Traditions 12 ga. out on some blacks & mallards.

I have not duck hunted with my black powder double {darn thing doesn't have a choke} For Pheasants I use 60 grains of black powder- half inch felt wad- ounce and a half shot over a cardboard cap . My question is everything has to go down the front end limiting your choke-- Has anyone had experience jug choking a black power shot gun? If I can get the old girl choked I might take her out on the line - just for fun
