I hear about the $150+ rooms at Linn Creek. I read about the unfair banks although I haven’t been there. I hear about the heat and no added money. And there is the very limited camping issue.

And then there is the Cardinal Center. $35 dollars for a modest room. $10,000 added money on the handicap. No Missouri heat and fair banks. Lots of camping.

Kudos to Linn Creek. Great facility. Why is the ATA Flagship Shoot in Missouri?

    Scratching my head on this.

Have your state delegate explain the situation to you. It is all about the incompetant leaders of the ATA. They have lost control of the organization because of their inept attitude towards the membership.
They want no input from the membrs. All they want is the cash flow from them, to do as they please with the finances. I think an outside audit would be the end of the EC as we know it. Roger C.

You said incompetent leaders. So this was just a mistake? An error? I am not knocking Linn Creek.

The ATA once again was faced with a dilemma because the State of Illinois is under restrictions enacted by the Governor, with no end in sight as of right now ... The ATA can thank their lucky stars Linn Creek agreed to host the grand or rent out the facility to the ATA so they could host the shoot ... Cardinal Center turned the ATA down probably based on demands set forth by the ATA, rumor has it Lynn( The Talking Head ) Gipson demanded $250,000 from the folks in Linn Creek for the ATA to come there ( Rumor, not actually confirmed ), they would be fools if they paid it because the ATA had literally no other place to go ... Cardinal Center does not need the ATA and any or all of the demands they set forth and many people applaud them for not caving into any demands ... The ATA in fact needs the Cardinal Center to continue collecting daily fees on their behalf at their shoots and who knows what the future will bring ...
The ATA is a renter and subject to restrictions set forth by the Land Owner (in this case the State of Illinois ) , they will no doubt be running into more and more problems in the future depending on what the "New Normal" ends up being once all is said and done and the passing of the Corona Virus ... The ATA lost a lot of the support (respect) of the membership being as the only time they express a need for them is when they need money to pay for the State of Illinois building known as the Hall of Fame building on the grounds of the facility in Illinois ... It will be interesting to see the totals once the grand is over at Linn Creek, hope the club makes out because the ATA will more than likely need them again ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

PaBOB, The ATA is incompetent in their mamagement of the ATA. They have no one to answer to for the dumb moves they have been making for the last 15 to 20 years. They slowely changed the bylaws eliminating all membership from having any say in the running of the organization. Then they made the move to Sparta after the members turned down that location. The only time they want the members is when they are after more money. The BOD as a group are worthless as agents for the members. ATA states the BOD works for the ATA not the members.
I In no way disparaged Linn Creek as a club. The management team is top shelf. I said I did not think the shooters would be happy there. The shooter services are not large enough. Vendor space, parking space, camping space are all to small. Roger C.

I am appreciate all that Linn Creek and Missouri has done for trapshooting. If not for them there might not have been a grand.
