Gun weight is 9 pounds 13 oz. It feels to me at least a pound lighter. Comes with two Aluminum ribs. 80/20 POI and 90/10 POI. The 80/10 is installed. I bought this Alferman two years ago from a private party. It had just been serviced. At the time I thought I would give trap a serious go but did not even get started. The gun has had 100 rounds fired. You can call the Alferman brothers and give them the serial number and they will tell you exactly when it was serviced. I know because that is what i did. The trigger is the best I have experienced. It feels more like a button you press than a trigger. Better then Perazzi or Krieghoff in my opinion. Some nuances to this manufacturer. The action must be closed very firmly. When I called and spoke with one of the brothers I told him that the gun had opened up twice on me when I fired. He said never softly close the action. It must be snapped shut. Never had an issue after that. Also, some very minor "pepper" type markings behind the trigger bow. I show it in the photo. Cosmetic and it is never seen anyway. On the underside of the gun. There are many owners of this maker and they will swear to the durability and shooting dynamics of this clay crusher. Oh, and the wood is really well figured and attractive. I have the same gun, a few serial numbers away. The replaceable rib system is really slick. I wish mine had this nice of wood. Most importantly I agree with Jim on the trigger. There’s just nothing better. At least in a pull. is the bore all original? David
Probably the best SBT ever made, even tho the Silver Dollar Special is lighter it is still too heavy for me now at 74 but I surely shot mine good Does anyone know if Gary and his brother are still making these guns, Mac
This is killing me, a gun that I have been looking for for a couple of years and our Governor has our state on lock down! Just my luck as a business man welcome to Michigan!,,, Fred J
The boys are still making these guns but not known as silver dollar specials. I have over 200,000 through mine. best trigger in any shotgun. everything is still original. same firing pin and all the springs are original. best kept secret in trapshooting guns.
I shot with a man from Missouri that has put 750,000 rounds through one and it hasn't had any work done on it. Great guns!
