Word is there were 92 shooters at the non-registered Leipsic, OH shoot. The 3 hole targets chewed a few big shooters up.
FG, I think Leipsic shoots the fourth Sunday of the month. It is just out of range for me to make it there after work on Sunday. I will report that UCOA in Findlay Ohio, who is now shooting the third Sunday of the month, had 55 shooters at their first event. It was a cold, rainy day that day too. I think that some of the Leipsic crowd might have been at UCOA. Mt Blanchard Gun club has about 7-9 squads on the first Sunday of the month. We are blessed to live in NW Ohio. How does Leipsic do their payouts? Mt B and UCOA pay three classes and three places in the Lewis class. I have always thought that this keeps a wider range of shooters in the game. 9 scores get paid. You might think that this would take money from the top end, paying 9 scores. One shooter ran a 50 at UCOA. He won top Lewis, and both forward and reverse runs by himself and took home over $160. Both of these clubs charge $20 for the targets and the games. Doug Allison
I don't know how many shooters their where but they did have 19 squads. with a lot of shooters shooting twice and at lest one shooting four times! Not bad for a windy cool day. I think they payed off 8or 9 Lewis classes.
Shot at Boyertown tonight. Just a Tuesday night practice and there were 22 squads, most were full. The best part was there were a good number of young shooters. Hope this continues. Club is in SE Pa. Ed
