800X powder

    Has anyone used this powder alot, to me it's like corn flakes, never consistant on charge amounts

    Love it. Used it for years,but its like hens teeth to find now. If you need more loads,PB is almost identical in reloading manual.

    I've used it for a long time. My PW seems to throw a very consistent load.

    800X is the worst metering powder I have ever seen. I had to weigh each powder charge to get the weights even close to being right.

    it had issues right from the start. many loaders just stuck 700x and turned their noses up to 800x.

    26 grs under a 1 1/4 oz with a little buffer does a fine job in money shoots !
    Rio Blue short B/W hulls with a CB1114 wad !

    800x does have a metering issue sometimes. Say if you're running a PW reloader with a newer style powder popper and shot, I have very little problem maybe 2/10 different in powder drop. If you run a Mac and you don't use a tube extension, the aluminum one you will have some problems. But I've literally ran 30 lb of that powder through loaders and not have that many problems. It just depends if you're willing to sit down and figure out any problems you may run into. Some people do not have the patience for it. Just my two cents
