3 Birds on a wire

Teacher told the class, there were 3 birds on a wire and a man w/a gun shot one, how many were left. Johnny waved and said I know, Teacher said ok Johnny how many, Johnny said None, Teacher said Johnny there were 3 and the man shot one now how many were left? Johnny said none, when the man shot one of them the loud bang made the other two fly away.
