Does anyone have any knowledge of the whereabouts of the Winchester Shell speakers that Herb Parsons used on his Pontiac station wagon roof ?

He hooked up a microphone to these for his exhibitions.

I had asked his son Lynn before his death, and the last he knew back in the early '60's they were at one of the local clubs around Somerville, Tennessee.

My searches have come up with nothing, but a good friend and I figure they have been stashed away in an old barn in the area, awaiting the day they can see daylight again.

Any help locating these would be appreciated !

    Thanks, Dave in Fl.

Sure hoping someone has preserved them over the past 56 years.

That car parked in my families driveway a couple times a year.

    KR and Todd,

Lynn Parsons told me that three days after his Daddy passed away the car had to be turned in to the dealer, as it was leased to Winchester. The speakers were still on it at that time, but he understood that they were taken off and given to a local club for display...That was in 1959 so Good Lord knows where they are now.

Like you had mentioned KR, these things are somewhere....Hope we can somehow locate them...

Todd, I assume you live or lived in the area at the time Herb was giving his exhibitions....

Lynn had told me that he and Jerry were just to upset at the time of their Daddy's passing to think to retrieve those speakers for their Daddy's den. They were pretty young at the time.

That is a picture of the pillow my wife made for "Doc". She made it in surgical gown colors just for him.
