    Help me do the math.

The Cardinal Center put $10,000 into the added money kitty for the Cardinal Classic. They set attendance records.

New York paid the ATA approximately $13,000 to call the shoot “grand”. And they received a trophy package.

Who has the best program? Where would you shoot?

No way will I set foot in NY, will not travel across states where I would be deemed a "Felon" for carrying a handgun, hollow point ammo , etc. that I would feel I need for personal protection--this includes, D.C, NJ. Maryland & ct.

In Fl I'm a law abiding citizen--in those states I'm a felon and could lose my gun ownership rights forever.

If New York paid $13,000 they got a deal, back when the old Phx Club was hosting the Spring Grand we had to pay the ATA $17,000 plus all they could steal, lose etc ... Then we had to pay twice because the ATA claimed they never got the check after a copy of the check was sent to them ... Neil ( Graph and charts man) Winston claimed they never got it even after we proved they did ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

The Cardinal Center with $10,000 added money would be where I would be shooting ... (They are on the top of my bucket list ) ...

According to what we were told way back when, originally Delegate Pat McHugh and the NYSATA paid $20,000.00 so New York could host the first "Empire Grand".

Part of that money was for an agreement to be able to host TWO (@) Satellite Grands in one year. (We weren't supposed to know that part though.)

The way things are going Cardinal Center is going to be "The Place" one of these days in the not so distant future, they just seem to do things right ... I have not seen the final numbers from the Grand being held in Linn Creek but the numbers could not of been much (if any ) worse than if it was held at the WSRC in Illinois ... The State of Illinois is in trouble financially and the Corona Virus is not helping with all of the forced restrictions ... Gov. Pritzger obviously has a lot on his mind being as nothing he has offered by way of any bailouts seems to be a way out of their situations, so it is only a matter of time ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

I don’t want to get caught up on how much? And I don’t want to anger the mods. I had a post taken down.

My point is wether any amount could
be better spent calling it “added money”.

Orangeman, What is you point? added money goes to the shooters, when the ATA gets a $13,000.00 fee the shooters never get any of it or are told where it goes. Roger C.

Why on earth would any shooter care what New York paid the A.T.A for a name and trophies. as pointed out above the 10,000 added money to a event goes to the shooters which means I would definitely choose the cardinal center for the potential of a nice payday. where as the other scenario the only nice payday goes to the A.T.A.

In the past I personally had sponsored some big "Uncle Phil" shoots @ Robinson Ranch, turnout stank--never again--$5000. added $ and less than 50 shooters--and this was for one event-Champ got $1500.00 and down the line to sixth place--ties split

If you want to see higher attendance at either satellite grand move them to PA. Lots of shooters just don’t like Bridgeport. Personally I have no problem and the club is working to improve things.

    Huntin'fool,
Another way to look at it is if PA was to shut down, the NY home grounds
    would look darn good.
