I am scheduled August 3rd for surgery on my Right leg to improve Circulation I believe to keep from losing My Good Foot and Leg. Now I have to get checked for Corono Virus 19. after having all my Bloodwork done, I thought that would clear me for the surgery. I have to wear a fitted Boot for 10 days without removing it. I hope I am able to walk around and take the PUPPY out to go Potty, and feed him. He has me trained to feed him after shaking his paws, then he looks at the TREAT BOX.

On July 27th yesterday I had the gastrocnemius Recession surgery canceloled, what they were going to do was Lengthen the Tendons on 3 Calf Muscles, No walking for 10 days, or driving, could not take my puppy out for peeing or pooping, I am 79 yrs old, on coumidin 6 mg, w/mechanical Aorta heart valve, taking me off of it for 5+ days, and could delvelop a Clot for possible Stroke, or Clot to lungs for death. It was to be an elective surgery, I studied up on the surgery and ways to avoid it.
I have not had any calf pain. I have muscle relaxer Meds if I need them, Cyclobenzoprene 10mg..

Hi Doc, Are you on cumidim because of the heart valve? My wife has a aortic vale replacement and she has never been on any blood thinners. They want you off of the cumidim so you do not bleed out when they would operate. Is there no alternative to the muscle problem? Wishing you all the best. Roger C.

Brad, If my memory serves me right. I think that was the shoot were Charlie Pidcock from post 3 in a shoot off hit a strait away knock it straight to the ground and it did not break. After a long pause lost was called. He lost the shoot off. Roger C.

Roger did you wife get na Pig Valve or a Mechanical Valve, Mechanical Valve requires Coumadin, Pig Valve not required, but would need another Pig Valve in 10 years or less, I was too young for the pig valve as it would have to have 3 more of the same surgeriees, I have a St. Jude #25 Aortic Valve.

They have a new procedure of replacing valves, just several small incisions, and slip in new valve.

Doc. She had a TAVR procedure, I can not describe it look up the procedure. My sister inlaw had a mechanical and could hear it clicking. WPT knows about the mechanical type. Roger C.

I have a friend from back home who just had a Mechanical valve installed.

He told me that he can hear the clicking and it sounds like my late father when he used to Click his false teeth.

Doctors told him he will hear it forever, so he figures he will live to be over 100. He is 76 now.
