    I used to load a 10 Ga O/U for duck pass shooting …… use a SLOW burning powder …. I u
to see current powders. #60 burn rate Alliant Blue Dot is on the burn rate chart above.
Ballistic products has lots of "other" wads, like 12 or 20 ga fiber wads to get correct shot column with 1 5/8 oz as most 10 ga loads are 2 oz and plastic shot cup or wads are for 2 oz and plastic granular buffers etc.

I do remember making up some 1 3/8 oz high velocity TRAP loads with 7 1/2 shot. First time I shot trap from most distant of 4 trap fields (worried about missing em all in front of anyone........ Shot from 40-42 yards, the 10 ga went off with a deep WOOooom ....... smashed the target at 70-75+ yards. Soon had a crowd. What is that gun??? It was a 11# Spanish O/U box lock action with F and F choked 32" barrels.

HODGDON site shows following 10 ga loads: (OOOPS DATA with copy and past is in line form rather than table ….. suggest you look at it on HODGDON site)

You could just cut the cases off to 2 7/8 and I am pretty sure an 1 5/8 loads just about perfect with a an sp-10 wad. Let me look at my book.
