When Nutty Nancy announced the impeachment inquiry would focus on the “Bribery” of the Ukrainian President in a phone call. My first reaction was the phone call content was an attempted bribery and not mentioned in the Constitutional Impeachment provisions. Then I searched the US Code for the crime of bribery of a public official, as Nutty Nancy should have done before starting the impeachment process. As I expected, the term “public official” is limited to a US Federal Official. Restated so Nutty Nancy can understand, the crime of bribery of a public official can not be committed with any foreign leader. What a waste of time, $$$$, and distraction from important national matters.
