Perazzi MX8 o/u barrel

Nice type 4 Perazzi 32" step rip barrel. Fixed chokes, Full and improved modified going off the Perazzi chart ( 2 stamps on the bottom barrel and 1 stamp on the top) 18.4 bores. Unknown porting. 1.65 KG. The added rib matches the rib height of a MX15 barrel it came with without needing to adjust the comb. The barrel itself is in pretty good condition though the added rib shows quite a bit of wear. I almost wonder if the added rib wasn't painted black at some point? The rib can be removed with a hair dryer and fishing line. Just need to put beads back on the original rib.

interested ... would also want to know serial # range and did you add the rib? any idea what kind of shape the original rib is in? thx

 

More pictures. I did not put the rib on,. The barrels came with a MX15 I purchased and the previous owner used this for doubles. As far as I can tell, the barrels are in really good shape including the sides of the ribs. Bluing is very good. Serial # 469XX.

You stated that your barrel is a type four. The serial number range shows
It to be type three. Was the barrel lug modified to fit your type four
Forend iron? Am i missing something and if so i apologize. Not trying to
Butt in on a sale.

 

It's definately a type IV lug, I would say the gun was converted to a type IV at some point in its life but that is just a guess.
