I'm going to save those pictures of the empty Trap fields. They just might be collector pieces some day.
The most impressive of all those pictures is Mr Fishburns jet and Leo's gun otherwise its looks like someone forgot to tell them there is supposed to be a shoot going on ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
Well, I had to take the pictures early morning before I started to shoot. You really believe that nobody was there to shoot don't you LOL.
No LOL Mike, I don't believe that. It was just by coincidence that you took the pictures early. I'm sure you wanted to get that out of the way before you got all excited about your shooting for the day. Not that great was it? What I do believe is that you think that place is the greatest thing to ever happen to Trapshooting. And for that I feel sorry for you. The use of OUR in your description of that $2,000,000 horse barn? The attempted swipe at the OH and PA shooters that didn't want to shoot there so they could fish instead? Think about that Mike. I know you are trying to be funny but that doesn't make any sense. The $2,000,000 building DOES look like a horse barn. LOL Why in the world would all those OH and PA shooters drive all that way to just fish when they, and THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE FROM ALL OVER THE EASTERN SIDE OF THE COUNTRY, WON'T GO THERE TO SHOOT? THOUSANDS QUIT GOING TO THE gah WHEN THEY MOVED IT. Just the honest truth Mike. Like I said, I do feel sorry for you but I can't help you. You are going to have to just keep telling yourself that place is "fantastic" and live with the fact that they can't get enough people to go there. Think not? You better take a look at this years number for EVENT 24 and the new "report" they put out to tell you and the other handful of people that DO go there how they are going to try and get you some company. LOL If the place was doing as well as you think, or wish, or dream about, they wouldn't have reached out to everyone from the ED to the Ex mayor of that outpost. Now that's funny right there. Doesn't matter how you title your pictures, thanks by the way, after 14 years the place STILL sucks. "LOL"
Thanks for the pictures Mike. Your effort is appreciated. Like the panoramic views. Always enjoy Flyers comments as well.
Flyers comments has the mixture of a Hemingway style combined with the wit of General Patton. One of my favorite Patton quotes was about what a reporter said about his pearl handled grips (so he thought) on his 45's.
"THANK YOU" to everyone and anyone who takes the time to take and post pictures for the rest of us to enjoy, it is sincerely appreciated ... I see in that last picture of Sparta in 2030, they finally made some of the improvements they were talking about before the re location ... Based on that in another 50 or so years they will be able to compete with some of the nicer and finer clubs ... Takes time, "Fanasstastic Direction" and almost 2000 shooters in one event (gah) and before you know it they will have 2010 shooters in that one major event ... WPT ... (YAC) ....
Reminds of some pit blind on MD's eastern shore not too far from Chestertown. The guy holding the Beretta looks like some guy who used to shoot trap wearing his hat backwards and shooting in sandals.
Good pictures Mike. A few of our local shooters (Ohio) make that trip every year and seem to have no complaints with Sparta. I've never been so I can't speak one way or the other. Cardinal is borderline home turf and I have had some great times shooting there. BUT have heard on more than one occasion there are better targets to be shot at elsewhere. I wouldn't know a good target if it bit me in the ass! As long as your healthy enough to break clays and enjoy yourself, that's all that matters!
