If I had to crawl to the voting station I would. And make sure you tell everyone you know to get off their butts and vote. This is as important as the vote we cast for President Trump when we got him elected.
The last election in Ohio, my wife and i volunteered to help out at our local voting place. My job while sitting in my walker was to pass out free coffee and donuts...yummy.
I worked the Voting poll 10+ years, have not done it the last 2 years GB........................................DLS
Yeah, I'll hit the polling place probably midmorning after the early morning rush. Pretty clear choice for me - do we want or have a border or not?
I went by the polling place several times this morning and there was always a long line. I got in line at 11:30 and voted at 12:35. People at the polls said it had been that way all day - never seen it this busy for a mid-term election. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing for my guy. Guess we'll find out sometime tonight.
The difficulty voting, lack of adequate places, long lines and etc. seems to be rather endemic in many places. Seems in our modern era we should all be allowed early voting and simple access to polls. Can't see any reason why we don't want to make it easy for all Americans to vote. Some states are way ahead on this. Weeks to vote. Absentee voting simple and etc. I expect we will see online voting before too long. (Hopefully, we can keep the Russians and Chinese from participating.) Other States are obviously making it as hard as possible to vote and especially in certain areas. Interesting they are usually the poorest areas. Wonder why that is?
I went right after noon, the place was almost empty but the Boss lady said they been going like crazy all day long (since they opened ) which does not surprise me at all … I had a bright RED shirt, hat,, and drawers on in case they asked, no body said anything … WPT … (YAC) …
Voted in my district, which is a few miles from the Hallowed grounds of Vandalia, Ohio. Several of the retired people who helped out.with voting actually once worked as score keepers in their youth at the GRAND. Many had family members that went back generations of Trapshooters.
Well, just got back. Here's how hard it was for me. Got my material about a month ago including ballot and a bunch of "explanation." Could have sent it back anytime but just down the street is a polling station so I delayed and just dropped off my and wife's ballots. No lines. Very pleasant. Significant activity of folks driving and walking to vote. You can see a small group with their dog going into the garage at the small white house. Oh, and it is a beautiful day.
All the more reason I started voting by mail. That and the fact I can research the candidates on my computer, before marking my ballot.
