The liberal left-wingers in this country believe that the end justifies the means. I.e. they'll do anything it takes to achieve their goals. Doesn't matter if it's illegal, immoral, mean-spirited, ugly, or anything else. Backed into a corner, they'll do whatever it takes. Simple enough and obvious enough these days.
All politicians on both the Left and the Right have a long history of always thinking they know what's best for us American citizens. Only difference nowadays is with social media, it's much more obvious.
