I have a few questions. Separate threads.

Why is the ATA throwing Sporting Clays?

Well, I guess you should tell them to stop. We only want kids to shoot trap. Let's not give them any other options. Stupidest question ever. Stir the pot some more.

Isn’t it obvious, the ATA recognizes that there are more and more kids out there who enjoy shooting everything. Just take a look at the numbers that the SCTP has. It’s common knowledge that colleges teams want kids who can shoot everything.

And besides, who wants to travel 14 hours only to shoot a couple hundred trap targets. I’m sure having Skeet & Sporting has helped the ATA/AIM Nationals attract more kids. It's not rocket science.

If the ATA had a rule book to go by maybe the targets could be a little better. (OH they do have a rule book and it describes how targets are to be set) Wonder why they do not insist on it being used? Roger C.

Roger they do. They brought some staff from the national shooting complex up to set the targets and the course up.

They mus have sent the sporting clay setters. Or they never sent the rule book with them. Roger C.
