The ATA was Blindsided

15 years or so ago the ATA President, Neal Causby was Back Stabbed by Neil Winston, and his propaganda, of shell speeds and Angles.
making everything easier, going to 60/40 Lewis Class payouts, that gave TOP DOGS more money, this needs more space to explain.
What was the results? More Class Ties, HIGHER long Yardage scores, Loss of INTEGRITY. The 1920 Shooters were men with Honesty & Integrity.

We lost members, We were led to an ANTI-GUN state, and BUILT on GROUNDS we did not OWN. Had the RIGHTS TAKEN FROM LIFE MEMBERS, without a vote, using EXECUTIVE ACTION, so they could SELL THE HOME GROUNDS.

So do you members respect NEIL WINSTON, the PRESIDENT, the EC, the BOD, the CHC, I think not.

I wish I was 40 years younger, I and VIC REINDEER's and NEAL CAUSBY would have taken the BULL by the HORNS and tried for and opposed the changes made.

With all due respect, I not being a registered trap shooter, just an occasional recreational trap shooter.

I am a registered sporting shooter and we have no shell speed restriction. Max size 7 1/2 max weight 1 1/8.

I am trying to understand the shell speed issue for trap.

Gary (DLS) heart is in the right place, he and I talk on a pretty regular basis , I cannot get him to believe that there is no way any one is going to turn back the hands of time and make things the way they were in the Glory Days of Trapshooting when there was money, cars, etc to be won on a regular basis ... The People are just not the same from a competitive stand point, the changes made to the Association have been made to try and make winners out of losers (no offense intended) as a way to promote trap shooting, not enhance it or make it better for all ... Give everyone a trinket who attends and there won't be any one going for the gold do to speak ... Greed has taken place of Honor, Integrity, and the American way ... FAGETABOUTIT, those days are long gone but will live in many peoples minds for ever ... Guess you had to be there ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
