The other day my car was totally locked-both key fobs would not work--3hours later when road service arrived they worked--anyone have a clue what happened ? The car is a 2025 Audi A6 Allroad.

Classic Audi gremlin likely a temporary desync in the keyless system cold, interference, or glitch made it ghost you. The 3 hours wait. System auto reset or signal cleared. For your 25 A6 Allroad, try the manual key in driver's door, cycle lock/unlock 3x, then hit fob buttons. If it flakes again, dealer scan for battery drain. Annoying, but harmless.

Isn't there a "key" in the fob you can use to manually unlock the door ?

Yes, but the access to use the key meant I had to pry part of the door handle cover off with the key, should have been simpler, but in the dark damn near impossible

I would assume your car has a black box feature? Information held for accident investigation. That may be a avenue of thought?
