Have you looked at the powder manufacturers websites for your powder? Lots of loads available, just pick your components.
410's can be tough to load. You'll do good to read on all the basics you can find. xxxxxxxxxxxxxx is also a good source of information. Some Winchester 296/Hodgdon H110 will be a good start. What type of reloader do you have or are going to get?
I use a couple of different loaders, Ponsness 375 and MEC SizeMaster. The Ponsness I like best, but the sizing method makes it tought getting the loaded round out and also the crimp starter is kinda rough on hulls (cuts them sometimes). MEC, the collet sizing is great. They both are really good loaders. For components Lil-Gun, Winchester 209 Primers & Down Range 410 Orange PC wads. I load a variety of hulls.
LilGun will yield the shortest hull life and con not be loaded beyond 1200fps. Orange PC wads have not been available for years. 15.3 to 16gr of H110 or 296 powder with Claybuster wad is a fantastic load. W209 or Cheddite primer. Be sure and weigh your shot drop. A factory AA has 225gr of shot.
Very informative post MDavid, you're making me want to go back to Winchester 296. It is my favorite also. My reason for using Lil'Gun is, I'm kinda cheap. It cost about $310 for 8 lbs and 296 runs about $330. Also, the charge weight is about 13.5 gr Lil"Gun and 15.2 gr Winchester 296. The price difference more than offsets the hull cost. I have admit I do reload some pretty skanky hulls though. I will add, I really like Cheddite 209's but my firing pins poke through them sometimes. Those ClayBuster wads are great also.
I can get about 10 to 12 reloads out a AAHS hull with H110 where I'd be lucky to get 5 reloads with LilGun. Given the price for once fired AA 410 hulls these days I don't see the price difference in powder justification. I had a Hodgdon rep tell me a couple of years ago that he doesn't get why anyone would want to use LilGun for 410 reloads unless it's the only thing available..
