Nick Bare (CL3)

    Nick Bare a founding member of Americantrapshooter.com passed away in Hillsboro, Ohio on May 19, 2025 after a lengthy illness.

    Nick began shooting at the old Winchester Gun Club located near I-71 and Rt. 68 in the 1960s and began registering the first of many thousands of targets from 1972-2025.

    Nick was a member of both the original and new Lynchburg Gun Club and managed the old club from 2000-05 along with his wife Sharon. He spent many of his Saturday mornings shooting or visiting with his friends at Webb’s Trapshoot in Sabina, Ohio.

    When the forum was first started Nick would find me at a shoot taking pictures. He would reach into his pocket and hand me some money to keep the forum running.

    Yes Joe he told me that he knew you and would see you at the Cardinal Center. He never said anything at all about giving you money.
    Nick was very frugal or maybe even tight except when it came to spending on something he wanted to do.
    You should feel very fortunate that he believed in your mission.

    He was not fond of “Flyer’s” attitude, but that did not keep him away from the site, He felt a bond or connection with you.
