funny story about this place. the pic is a rare inside look of the campfire club main clubhouse. i got it off the internet, so its about as close as i'll ever get ever again, because that pic IS AS CLOSE as i got to a range.

this is the only club in america that i was tossed out of. literally.

    this is the story,
i was in the n.y area meeting some great people and decided to call campfire to see if someone would give me a pass and be my escort for a day.
After numerous attempts to contact this club by email, phone, and lettered mail, I ended up just going to see if I could visit and see what they are all about. All around the club property were big keep out signs and 8 foot chain link fence. But, the gate was open so I went in. The director wasn’t in his office so I identified myself and asked some members when he’d be back. I was treated very rude and told in no uncertain terms that I was trespassing. Needless to say I didn’t shoot here and the director never answered my note on his door. But from what I saw in the short time I was there, it was a very well kept ritzy club. Too bad the members don’t know how to treat visitors with respect or dignity. They can boast of having Teddy Roosevelt or Donald Trumps kid as members, but the main body of membership that I saw was nothing short of common. Just my luck I missed the few good ones that I know exist in this club, on the day I tried to make contact. no loss. life goes on.

first time i played a game by myself with a clay delay vox. most shooters were over on the s.clays range and 4 guys were on the only field open for skeet. instead of inviting me to join them, they shot 4 games, finished, said goodbye, and left me by myself. never went back.

this is all thats left of the range. it was closed by the epa in 1998 and was returned to its natural state by left wingers. i use to shoot here all thru the late 80's and until 1996 when i retired from the military.
    sad.
