My Nephew and I had a great day at Thorn Bottom Hunting. Brad, Anne, and Matt did a great job of hosting us for a combo pheasant and groundhog hunt. Have you ever gone to a hunt club and had the dogs tree a groundhog for you to shoot? Matt and his dogs did just that today for us.

I am not old enough to remember wild birds in NW Ohio. I have been to other hunt clubs. This place has to be at the top of the list. It was warm today, but the dogs still did great. Matt and his dogs put lots of birds in the air for us. The only disappointment was my shooting.

Grant and I always carry our favorite shotguns, the Browning Double Auto and the Remington Model 32 when upland hunting. Grant was skillful today with the Model 32 skeet.

We waited about 15 years between hunts at Thorn Bottom, but we will be back much sooner for the next one.

They say if no pics it didn't happen, so see below.
