I am considering having a center bead moved forward on an older (80's-90's) Perazzi barrel. Does anyone know of a reputable gunsmith that can fill the old center bead hole AND match the rib machining; thereby effectively hiding the old bead hole?? I am aware that this work could involve bluing, and also....that I could achieve the same end result by simply leaving the larger bead space.....between the beads.... and shooting it as they are currently placed. Thanks in advance for your input.
Moved my own bead -- no problem-- Brownell's sells a bead rail jig punch for $14.95 and a bead drill and tap sets with two beads for $14.95 -Ground down the old bead, cross hatched with a jewelers file to match the rib and heat blued, screwed back in flush. Have to look really hard to notice it. But this was an C.G. not a P gun.
