The ATA

Sat on a great wall.the ata had a great fall. All the EC and all the BD couldn't put the ata back together again.

 

It was more like a SLAM DUNK NOT A FALL. When honest men fail to act, evil will prevail. It is time for an investigation of the actions of the leaders of (OUR) organization it seems the ATA is being used as a piggy bank by many of the leaders. This needs to be straightened out if it is true or not we as members have a right to know. If it is true some people need a long vacation at the in a government hotel. Roger C.

Do you think any one would be stupid enough to pass on info on this forum? If they do know of infractions this is the last place to post that info.If you do not feel that you are interested in the problem, that is your business. Many of the posters on here are trying to keep the organization from completely falling apart due to poor management and proliferation. They are not ATA haters, they are concerned members. Loudone......so what is it really that your friends fear? Who is it you wish to protect?

 

It is, unfortunately, way past the time that the ATA, as we know it, can EVER be returned to what it once was. That ship has long ago sailed. There is good, and bad, in that, but, it is what it is. In my humble opinion, the ATA needs, and deserves, a total overhaul from the top down. Once that is done the re-building of the organization can begin. It needs to have less control over the members, the clubs, the vendors, and anyone else that had a hand in building it. The ATA was always meant to be a member driven association, not the other way around. The ATA doesn't run the members, the members run the ATA. Without integrity, honesty, transparency, and QUALITY leadership, the ATA is just a ghost of what we all wanted it to be. There are, without question, some good delegates, etc., but, they are caught up in a losing situation and will have to fall by the wayside during the re-construction of the ATA. Why? Because, no one has any trust in anyone even remotely connected with the ATA leadership right now. It will take fresh faces that have not given the members any reason to mis-trust them, working in harmony with the membership, to get it rolling again..... Personally, I don't see that ever happening because the general membership of the ATA has let all this happen, knowing, and being informed, there is something definitely wrong at the top. Simply put: The majority just don't care and don't want to get involved..... Again, this is just my opinion.

 

True Dan. And no member should ever have to "seek" information. It should be in the open for all to see.

 

If they had nothing to hide, they would hide nothing ... That is not the case obviously, sooner or later it will all come out and we will all see for our self what we are dealing with and who ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
