Up for sale is this nice 12ga DB81. It was gone through and rebuilt with new locking block, springs and firing pins by Don X. The double release leaf spring trigger is adjustable front and back and internally selectable for top or bottom barrel. Both sets of barrels have been ported. Appears to be by Angleport. The 34” top single has S12 Briley thinwalls. LM, Mod, IMOD and Full. The 32” O/U barrels are non choke tubed at .15 bottom and .25 top. Beautiful high grade right hand with palmswell English walnut stock off the Wenig New American pattern style with new Pachmeyer Decelerator pad and matching forend. Stock has been refinished and checkering recut. As a couple of pictures show the stock had developed a crack top and botton. They were repaired and the stock was glass bedded to the receiver. 14 ½” LOP, Drop at comb 1 ½”, drop at pad 2 ¾”, overall a very nice gun with years of service left. Comes in a real nice Americase. Now for some of the take aways, the gun could be reblued down the road, when Don was rebuilding it he found the side ribs on the O/U barrel were loose, so he wired them tight for the time being, they don’t show with the forend on. I guess that’s about it. $7500 shipped.
