I just came across this stat. If you don't believe me do your own research.

That would be more effort made than our current Executive Committee. This shows how absolutely inept the ATA is.

You can give that BS excuse that the parents stop giving the kids money when they graduate. Big whoop! There are 50,000 shooters that could compete at the grand now! The parents and kids are not interested in what was the greatest trapshooting event.

They don't like the product. Don't like the venue.

Trapshooting isn't dead. Look at the leadership of the ATA. The delegates don't have a plan. The meetings don't even have roll call votes.

This isn't even the only youth league. There is the SCTP and others.

    50,000!!!!

We have youths shooting at our club. No one even mentions registered shooting. Some days as many youths as adults. That's what is important right!

Back in the day Newcomerstown didn't charge youths for targets. Not sure about now.

The EC of the ATA thinks these kids would rather shoot for All American points instead of money, or cars, or gold, or silver, and they wonder why none of these young men and women move on to the ATA. Who would have guessed.

Congratulations to the Clay Target League. It doesn't matter that the ATA fails. Shotgun sports do not revolve around the ATA.

My son Bryce shot for the Olentangy Liberty High School team since there wasn't one in his own school district. His Varsity squad won the state title this year for small teams at the State shoot at Black Wing in July. Great shooting by the entire squad. Squad mate Blake Eichhorn won trophy for high score - 99/100.

Sctp is in our area. They have a huge enrollment also. I don’t know the numbers off the top of my head. In Iowa our sctp athletes have to be ata members to shoot the sctp state championships. I have always thought this was a huge money grab for ata. And I would venture to say 90% or more never shoot another ata target the rest of the year.
