What is this K80 worth?

Serial number of the receiver ? Is that a lightweight receiver ?

I think Gene has it right. Looks like a lightweight engraving on receiver.

 

Put a magnet in it. If a lightweight it is a dramatic reduction in value

VERY early scroll receiver, basically from the first few years of K80 production. Friend has one. Think it may have depended on who the importer was at the time, I believe my friends was bought from Mel Hunting new in the 80s.

Value will be determined by the value of it's components, since it's a put-together gun. The receiver & f/e iron is worth $3000 (basically about what a logo receiver would be worth). Not too familiar as to what Trap Special wood or barrel would be worth presently.

My ballpark would be $6000-$7000 as shown, parted out. Probably closer to $6k as a package.

It is an early 80' receiver. It was mostly on skeet guns. It could be ordered as a trap gun also. I had one back then.

 

You’re 100% correct, I think it was called a super scroll back then. But that was many years ago

Now they have had lightweights with higher level engraving patterns and there might have been some early scrolls that looked like this but hundreds look like they do now and I have seen several dozen early lightweights likevthis

my Daughter has a 2012 Light Weight and it does not say anything on the receiver except K80 and Krieghoff Germany, so I guess they have changed over the years.

 

G7777777, you may not agree, but I would bet money its not a light weight. I had a combo with that type receiver in the early eighties.. Imported by Mel Hunting.

And I was talking about those very early standard models were never marked lightweight . I clearly stated there were other light weight engraving patterns

Even so very very few have that identification and I have owned a dozen lightweights and none had it
