Would you believe there was formal correspondence between the ATA Executive Committee and a member stating the ATA is committed to Sparta until “at least 2026”? My question…..Was there a formal vote on this? I report. You decide. merlo out
I’m sure there was when they signed a lease through 2026. Beginning on line 895 of the December meeting minutes you’re quoting: “President Hayes and Vice President Wehking Co-Chairmen of the Home Grounds Securitization Committee were next on the Agenda to give their report. They stated that no action has been taken by their committee since the last Executive Committee meeting. Executive Director Gipson reminded the Executive Committee that negotiations for the renewal of the lease between the ATA and the State of Illinois in regard to the World Shooting and Recreational Complex will begin on January 1, 2024.” So no, they haven’t done anything.
Rule 1-10 Dont doubt merlo jmho I found this op's post a head scratcher. I searched the minutes and found this gem. Correspondence from Greg Dalay requesting that future Grand Americans be held outside the state of Illinois because of their political position in regard to firearms. He was advised that the ATA has a lease commitment with the state of Illinois that will last through at least 2026. The one quote "thru at least" does seem to imply the EC has collectively decided to go beyond. And it most assuredly states they are not planning to end the lease. I was sure they have that option. I am assuming the letter sent to Greg Dalay was given the OK by all the EC. It did come from the the December Executive Session. One might think the letter would have gone to all the delegates for that OK.

Legislative or Judicial Action 12.4 of the lease could be the focus of Greg Dalay. Is the legislative action or inaction of the Illinois Legislature impacting the attendance at the Grand? How many out there will not shoot in an anti gun state?
