For sale is a Krieghoff KS5 Special with a 32" barrel. Gun has an adjustable comb and adjustable rib. The Special is the model with the dial adjustment on the front of the barrel rib for adjustment. Shotgun comes with everything it came with from the factory including M, IM and F chokes with choke wrench. Comes with the Krieghoff metal case. Gun was built in 1998. Only flaw I see in the gun is a rub mark in the finish on the right side of the stock. The gun case hasn't been out of the closet for a couple of years so needs to be cleaned. It is in good shape.
When I say the gun case needs to be cleaned, I just mean it's dusty from sitting in the closet. Thi sis a nice gun.
Where is gun? Shipping cost? Are you the original buyer? Round Count? Do you know if the stock has been refinished? Thanks in advance for any info you can provide
We live in Arizona, south of Phoenix. The gun case is metal and heavy so freight will be $60.00. That may not cover the shipping charges but I'll eat the difference. I am not the original owner so have no idea of round count. Stock has not been refinished, as far as I can tell. Finish is very good except for the rub mark on the right side of the stock. The rub mark is just in the finish. The KS5 is a nice gun. It is balance very well and recoil is mild. I'm sure you'll like it if you decide to buy it. Dan
The trigger on the KS5 Special is adjustable for length of pull and pull pressure. Just about everything on the gun is adjustable - adjustable rib, comb and trigger. Very little felt recoil.
I never knew there was such a gun as a ( KS5 Special?) The difference between a KS5 and a KS5 Special is what? I'm not a K gun specialist so I'm curious I do like the gun, friend of mine has a KS5 and I like his, but he also never heard of the Special
The KS5 Special has a dial/wheel adjustable rib. The KS5:uses a hanger to adjust the rib. The Special is very similar to the KX5. It also has a trigger that is adjustable for lop and pressure/lightness.
Should note that my KS-5 Special is one of if not the very last made in late 2000. Any changes would be seen on the KX-5.
AI pulled out the owners manual that came with the gun and Dean is right. The trigger is adjustable for pull weight but not LOP. I've been fortunate as the only adjustment I have made to the gun is to add 2 spacers to raise the adjustable comb.
Beautiful gun. I shot one of these for many years. Probably one of the best built singles you can buy. Wish I had kept mine. You can spend a lot more and end up with a lot less.... Paul
