Strange year 2020. Who thought the shoot would be at Linn Creek? My closest sources say Linn Creek was always the backup plan.

I have been to Linn Creek. I do not think they can handle over 2000 shooters in one day. Hopefully they will , but I doubt it.It is also going to be a problem with parking that many contestants and motor homes. If the motor homes and vendors take up parking space that will also be a problem. Roger C.

With the spike or reported spike of this covid virus all over the news, the Grand is going to be lacking in attendance this year. Consider ourselves lucky for even having a Grand this year. A friend of mine has been building an airplane in his barn the last 2 years. This year he was going to have it finished and was going to take it to Oshkosh for the EAA fly-in. That event has been canceled.

One of the clubs I belong to we have for as long as I can remember have gotten together and shot on or around the 4th. It's just been for club members, we throw hot dogs, burgers on the grill, and just play games, and if the kids want to shoot off fireworks. Not this year. Been a spike in Covid cases according to media so we just canceled it. 90% of us are in that vulnerable age group - over 65 with existing health problems.

Been to Linn Creek a bunch of times for state shoot and Fall Handicap. And I hope to go back and shoot there again sometime, just not this year. I thought about driving out but then the thought of having to drive through St. Louis put the final nail in the coffin of doing that. It doesn't take much to upset the StL natives to cause them to riot, loot and this year the protest of choice seems to be shutting down interstates and pulling people out of their vehicles. I'm too old to participate in any wrestling events anymore, so I'll have to pass.

All the news about so many people being so close to each other partying in the lakes, who to say that that the powers to be don't shut everything down.

Things change from day to day. Wouldn’t surprise anyone if MO pulled the plug. Hey, they can go
back to ILLnews. Their governor got smacked with a lawsuit and he lost. Every “order” he instituted was deemed illegal.
There shouldn’t be any problem having that August shoot at that place.

Oops, wait a second. That place isn’t privately owned is it?
The state of ILLnews owns it so the gov can do pretty much what he wants.
Ain’t that about a B^*#H. Supposedly a nice facility and you can’t use it because the OWNERS run the circus.
    Such a deal they got!
