Hey Phil, any progress on the new range in Sumterville? Have you shot any at RR?

 

It can't come soon enough for me.

 

The concrete is poured, skeet houses are almost complete, been to RR & Imperial Polk-will drop by Sumterville next week, the combo field is supposed to be dedicated Feb 27, should be up & running before

 

Just one trap?

 

Per a contract I have with the owner/ mgr 1 combo, 2 trap fields to start

The trap houses are being fabricated off site, the Pat traps are ordered, will be using BRB wireless voice calls and will be installing shot curtains

? for you Cardinal Center shooters, best target, format for shooting against a shot curtain

 

Is the new trap field up and running yet ?

Couldn't make the dedication, and emails asking have not been answered.

Went to the range today the trap house is a total screw up has to be redone--there is no pitch on the roof and there is a 12" overhang on a box structure that looks way to narrow,

With all the expert advice and prints available on the net, one would think they could have at least done it right.

Beginning to think this isn't going to work out too well.

Where is this "Steering committee" (Donators) that were supposed to be set up to give the owner advice ?

Sounds like you aren't too happy the way things are shaking out either.

 

Also, I was promised Pat Traps, looks like the owner is trying to substitute Pro-matic, ain't gonna fly

 

You may like the target presentation better on the pro-matic. they are good traps. Roger C

 

I happen to know there were MANY people who put up thousands of dollars (like you) to the owner to get this whole thing off the ground.

They were to be the "Steering Committee".

Were there not some overseers to see this project done correctly and as promised in the sales pitch ?

Leaves me with serious doubts as to the additional second trap field, or the shot curtain.

Time for the committee of donaters to get a handle on this to be sure they get what has been promised when they ponied up all that money.

All of this is sad to hear because I was looking forward to supporting this place, but I have severe reservations after hearing all of this now.
