I need to order some new rx lenses and need some advice on color. I shoot a lot of green birds under the lights, The colors I currently have do not work out well for me on these targets and I usually just use clear. anyone have any recommendations?
I was a Decot dealer at one time so I have a nice assortment of lenses (14 pairs + a pair of Hi def specs ) for most any and all circumstances ... Under the light with green targets I would use clear or a light tint yellow to enhance the green ... People see color differently to some degree so it would be best for you to try differently tinted lenses to see what makes them stand out best for you, then order your RX lenses off of those findings ... You do not have to be shooting to look at the targets with a friends lenses from afar ... Good luck ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
I figured clear or light yellow was the answer, I haven’t ordered lenses in probably 15 years. Was just curious if they came up with something new designed for the green birds
I sorted all of the lenses I have last night , I do have a blueish pair (forgot about ) that I think I bought for shooting in Las Vegas when Steve had his place ... I do not recall shooting with them but I can see where they could make the green targets brighter in some conditions ... I put them (blue) in and watched some TV with them and I got to tell you it really made that clearer ... The High Def Specs I have are better for driving than they are for shooting and cost 3 x's as much ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
This thread got me curious so I took the bluish lenses over to the local Dodge dealer and looked at the "Slime Lime" color cars in the day light as well as later in the evening ... The blue lenses make them stand out like I never would of believed, really intensified the color so I am guessing but think the Blue lenses with green targets should work pretty well ... WPT ...
