Ga.trapshooter, Sounds like you are describing your reloads. I was a Remington dealer for over 20 yrs. and did not see many bad reloads. Roger C.
Going back a few years I remember more than a few squib loads with Federal X-Lites and Winchester sent out some pretty poor AA's at times. Night shift at the plant has some advantages.
Michael J, There were shells made with out the brass many years ago, thinking it was Active (?) and they shot very well and lots of guys reloaded them ... They were formed plastic like those but with no metal on them ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
with these shells, when the shooter ejected the fired shell, only the head came out. Had to use a dowel to remove the shell. Not sure the make of gun.
Michael, Did you notify Remington? I was a Remington distributor for years and never seen that problem. The chamber must have been on the small side. Or it had been sleeved and the taper was not installed. Roger C.
Not sure what gun these were fired from. I collected them over a 3 week period. Our thursday night trap shoots draw about 30 people and we do about 15 to 20 squads. So we do have a variety of guns there. Everything from 870s to Kriegofffs. With all the shells used, this was the only brand to have problems.
