I'm attempting to load steel shot on my 9000 progressive reloader. I have the steel shot kit for the reloader and I'm having trouble with the wads sticking on the drop tube, then when it progresses to the next station the wad catches and the shot spills. Does anyone have this problem and how can I fix it.
    Thank you in advance.

I had this problem with a 9000, and first, smoothed out the end of the shot tube by putting it in a drill press and draw filing a very slight chamfer on the tube. Then used Scotchbrite to eliminate tool marks.

After installing, I increased wad pressure and solved my problem. I would try these steps after making sure you have a suitable wad for the hull you are using.

Loaded some steel years ago when first had to go to it. Seem to remember that MEC made a special shot tube with alteration (not remember what) to the end of it. Worked well for me.
